What happens automatically

01

The action after the capture is your choice

In the settings: open the editor, copy to the clipboard, save to a file or upload to the server. Pick save and the hotkey takes the capture and drops the file into Downloads with no dialogs.

02

File names from a template

Files name themselves: {date}, {time}, the page {title}, the site {domain} in any order. No more "Screenshot (37)", and every capture is easy to find.

03

A link with no clicks

Pick upload and after the hotkey the capture is already on the server with a short link in your clipboard. All that is left is to paste it into a chat or a task.

How to set up automatic screenshot saving

An automatic screenshot in four steps

Set it up once, then it is only the hotkey.

  1. 1 Install the browser extension or the app for Windows or macOS.
  2. 2 In the settings pick the action after the capture: save, copy or upload.
  3. 3 Set a file name template, for example {domain}_{date}_{time}.
  4. 4 Press the hotkey: the capture saves or uploads on its own, no editor.

Automatic screenshots FAQ

How do I make screenshots save automatically?
In the extension settings pick Save as the action after the capture. From then on the hotkey drops a PNG into Downloads named by the template, with no editor and no save dialog.
Can it take screenshots automatically on a timer, every N minutes?
No, there is no interval capture yet: a capture is always started by a person with the hotkey or the button. What is automatic is everything after that press.
How do I get a screenshot link automatically?
Pick Upload as the action after the capture. After the hotkey the capture goes to the server and a short link to it lands in the clipboard.
Which placeholders does the file name template take?
{date} and {time} of the capture, {title} for the page title, {domain} for the site. Unknown placeholders are left as they are, characters a file system rejects are stripped.
Can I upload screenshots to the server from my own scripts?
Yes, there is an HTTP upload endpoint: send a PNG, JPEG or WebP file up to 20 MB and get back a short link and a view page. That is how captures from tests or monitoring get automated.
Is it free?
Yes. Capture, automatic saving, upload and the link are free, with no sign-up.
